Chapter 25. Darwin Streaming Server and QuickTime BroadcasterIN THIS CHAPTER
In the last two chapters we've dealt with setting up a web server and then delivering dynamic web applications over it. This chapter will explore another type of content delivery that is becoming increasingly common on the Internet: streaming video and audio. Apple presents live broadcasts of MacWorld, WWDC (Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference), and other events using the QuickTime Streaming Server and QuickTime Broadcaster products. You can use these same tools to stream your own AV presentations for business, education, and personal use. If you're so inclined, your Mac can even serve as a means of streaming your television or cable feed to the computers in your house. |
