SummaryThis chapter provided an overview of SSH and Apple Remote Desktop, two different ways to remotely access your machine. The SSH discussion included basic and advanced use for SSH2. Although we looked only at SSH2, the basics are the same for SSH1, if you should need to interact with an SSH1 server. Topics included making secure terminal connections, securely transferring files, tunneling connections, and enabling public key authentication. In the ARD discussion, we looked at the features and limitations of ARD and how to activate and configure the client. Then we took a brief look at ARD in action, where we saw live views of multiple machines, list views of multiple machines, and even a control view of one client machine. |
