 od [ bcCDdFfOoSsvXx ] [ filename ] [ [ + ] offset [ . ] [ b ] ] 

od displays a filename in one or more formats, as selected by the first argument. If the first argument is missing, “o is default (e.g., the file can be displayed in bytes octal, ASCII, decimal, hex, etc.).
