Name Your Tracks

The VS-2480 automatically assigns the name of the recording track to the phrases it records on that track. If you take the time to name the tracks before recording, the name you enter for the track will be included in the name of any phrase that is recorded on that track. As shown in Figure 16.6, access to the Track Name function is via the Track menu.

First select a track to name, then press F1 to invoke the Name Edit dialog box, as shown in Figure 16.7.

You may use your mouse to select letters , type them on a connected PS2 keyboard, or use the Time/Value dial to scroll through the characters . The F1-HIST (History) button will step backwards through your last few entries, which you may then edit for your new track name. This is a very convenient feature for multiple takes!
