Effects Inserts

When you want to pass a channel's audio through an effect and have that effect only applied to that channel, use the Effects Inserts. Examples of traditional insert patches are guitar amp simulators, microphone modelers, or custom EQ patches.

The small horizontal blue bars next to each effects block control the FX SEND (upper blue bar) and FX RETURN (lower blue bar), as shown in Figure 14.7. Grab the blue bar and drag the mouse up or down to adjust these values.
