Some audio devices use the opposite HOT (TIP) and COLD (RING) wiring. Using such equipment "as is" may result in poor sound placement, loss of correct left-right balance, and loss of separation between left and right channels when using stereo inputs. In these cases, you need to reverse the phase of each channel. Another cause of phase misalignment is multiple mics picking up the same source (for example, drums). To reverse the phase, select the Phase setting on the channel edit screen and use the jogwheel to change it. You have two choices on the Phase setting:
