TIP 23: Selecting Multiple Filess

To make it as easy as possible to learn and use GoLive, the brilliant GoLive engineering team has made the Site window look and behave just like your operating system. That means that although the features are identical between the Mac and Windows versions, GoLive behaves like a Mac on a Mac and like Windows on a Windows PC.

Opening Files with Shortcuts

To open a file with your keyboard from the Site window on a Mac, just press Command-down arrow. The Windows equivalent, which matches the Windows behaviors, is to select the file and press the Enter key.

For example, to select multiple contiguous files in the Site window, select the first file, press and hold the Shift key, and then click on the last file in the sequence. This is new behavior for many Mac users, but it works exactly like the new Finder in Mac OS X (Figure 23).

To select multiple discontiguous files in the Site window, Mac users Command-click and Windows users Control-click on the files.
