Part I: Understanding the Features

Consider these first seven chapters of this book to be the ingredients of your new InCopy workflow, and Part Two to be the recipe.

Here in Part One we made sure you have all the ingredients to make everybody happy. We start with the familiar and customizable Adobe software graphical user interface. Then we stir in professional writing and automation ingredients such as dynamic spellcheck and text macros for the writers. We make sure the editors are accounted for by mixing in change tracking, notes, and PDF comments. Lastly, we toss in a pinch of spice by exploring advanced topics such as image handling, tables, and footnotes. You might not see right away how it all fits together, but when everything's on the table it starts to make sense. Let's get cooking!
