Testing the Page

To test the page, you request it in the browser. Web Matrix can launch the browser for you and make the request to your Web server.

Run the page on your computer

1. Press F5. If you prefer menus, choose Start from the View menu.

   Web Matrix displays the Start Web Application dialog box, as shown here:

   

In the Start Web Application dialog box, you re asked whether you want to use the built-in Web Matrix Web server or (if you have it) IIS. For now, let s work with the Web Matrix server, so just click Start.

The Web server starts up, and then your browser opens with the page you just created.

Enter text into the text box, and click the button.

Sure enough, the text from the text box is echoed in the label, as shown here:
