Collecting Pictures for the Slideshow

As in Chapter 5, you ll need some graphics files .jpg files, .gif files, .png files, and so on to use as test slides. For the pages you ll create in this chapter, you ll need at least five or six pictures, but the more pictures you have, the more interesting your slideshows will be. If you don t have any graphics files handy, you can use the files in the WebMatrix\images folder on the companion CD.

As noted in Chapter 5, you need to keep all your graphics files in the Web Matrix application. I recommend that you keep them in a subfolder named images. If you have many pictures and don t want to keep them all in one folder, you can create separate subfolders. For example, you might create a structure like the following:

C:\WebMatri     \image         \vacatio         \fishingtri         \grandmabirthday

The most important thing is that you keep the pictures at either the same level as your Web pages or in a folder below them. With the location of your graphics files sorted out, let s take a look at storing slideshow information in the database.
