What s Next?

What's Next ?

Now that you have met the team, the trip from starting the project to delivering the code to our customer begins. Sit back and enjoy the ride. When you see something you like, make a note of it. Try it on your next project. If there is something you disagree with, but you have never tried it, consider giving it a try. If you have tried it and it does not work for you, that's okay. Don't use it. Use what works for you and throw out what doesn't work. That should be your motto for applying any process.

In the rest of the chapters, we will take you through our complete experience. You'll see that developing code is only part of the story. We struggled to get started and to settle into a rhythm that worked for us. We will explain our major decisions ”what we did, and why we did it that way. More important, we will tell you what worked for us and what didn't.

Like any project team, we made mistakes. No one is perfect. Our goal was to learn from those mistakes so we wouldn't make them on our next project. There are enough new mistakes waiting for us.
