Section 10.27. Speech

10.27. Speech

This little program, new in Windows XP, lets you set up all the speech- related features of Windows. Unfortunately, Windows XP doesn't have any speech-related features. So, the only time you'd want to use this program is if you've installed software that has its own speech-recognition or similar features.

Figure 10-10. The Sounds and Audio Devices program presents every conceivable category in which a sound is played : Windows, NetMeeting, Windows Explorer, and so on. A sound scheme is a set of sounds used when certain things occur on your computer (like when you receive an email).
