The Track Mixer includes a Volume slider, Pan wheel, and Level meters for each track.
You use the controls in the Track Mixer to adjust the levels of an individual track.
When the levels in the Level meter turn red, that means the volume is too loud. This is also known as clipping.
Changing the pan position of a track changes the placement of that track to a different location in the left-to-right stereo field.
Option-clicking the track controls will reset the Volume slider or Pan wheel.
You can add or change the effects on a track in the Track Info window.
You can add or change the effects for the overall song in the Master Track Info window.
You can dynamically change the volume or panning of a track over time by adding control points to the Volume or Pan curves.
You can add control points to the Volume curve by clicking the Volume curve.
You can move a control point by dragging it.
The Master track Volume curve is for dynamically adjusting the volume of the overall song in the Timeline. You can also dynamically transpose a song by adding control points to the Master Pitch curve.
The master output volume is the output level of the finished song that will be used when you export the song.
You can use the Master Output Volume slider to adjust the master output volume.
To change the volume of your playback in your headphones or speakers, use the volume controls for the computer, not the Master Output Volume slider.
