ramping
Employing variable speed effects to vary a clip's speed throughout playback. Achieved in Motion using the Scrub filter. Also called time remapping.
random seed
The random number assigned to a set of variables in Motion's particle generator.
real time
Refers to the ability to play back video content during preview at exactly the same frame rate as the final intended output. Can also refer to the ability to update parameters and instantly see the result of the change.

redo
To reverse an undo, which restores the last change made to a project.
remap
To substitute effects values with those of your choosing.
render
The process by which the computer calculates final frames for a project. In Motion, the rendering takes place within the graphics card.
RGB
An abbreviation for red, green, and blue, which are the three primary colors that make up a color video image.
rotation
The movement of a clip around its anchor point without changing its shape.
