Lesson 11. Exporting and Sharing Motion ProjectsTime Goals
According to one common definition, export means to cause the spread of goods, ideas, values, or a way of life from one society, culture, or nation to another. But although Motion has had a great impact on the world of motion graphics, that's not the definition I am looking for. Export also means to convert data from one computer program into a form suitable for use by a different program. Now that definition fits our purposes better. Up to this point, you've created many different projects that can be seen and heard only within the Motion application on your computer. That's great while you're building your projects, but sooner or later you'll want to convert those projects into a form that can be shared with the rest of the world, or at least your part of it. How? By rendering your project into a movie or a series of still frames through a process also known as exporting. In this lesson, you'll explore the types of files to which you can export your Motion projects: QuickTime movies, image sequences, and still images. First, you'll export the 11-1 Air Show Open project as a finished QuickTime movie. Then you'll export a still image from the same project. Finally, you'll look at the Export presets options in the Preferences window. |
