Moving a Particle Emitter in the Canvas

Let's take a moment to move the entire particle emitter outside of the frame so that the particles will look like they are floating into the frame, rather than appearing out of nowhere.

You can move an emitter in the Canvas the same way that you move an object. All you need to do is select the emitter with the Select/Transform tool and drag it to the new location.

First, let's zoom out of the Canvas so that we can see the empty space around the frame.

1.

Press Cmd- (hyphen) to zoom out of the Canvas one level.

2.

Drag the Emitter object downward and to the left until the particles are all born outside of the frame.

3.

Play the project in the Canvas, if it is not already playing, to see how the move affects the overall look of the project.
