Applying an Image Mask to the Project


The next step toward finishing this project is to have a video image appear in the lower center of the project, instead of the white rectangle.

The video image and mask object are located in the Center Square layer of in the Layers tab.

1.

Press Cmd-4 to open the Layers tab.

2.

On the Layers tab, click the disclosure triangle for the Center Square layer to show the contents of the layer.

First, you need to turn on the Hurricane 4 video object.

On the Center Square layer of the Layers tab, select the Activation check box for the Hurricane 4 video object to turn it on.

On the Layers tab, select the Hurricane 4 object.

5.

Choose Object > Add Image Mask to apply an image mask to the selected object.

Now all you need to do is assign the Center Square layer as the mask source.

6.

Drag the Center Square layer from the Layers tab to the Mask Source well in the Image Mask Dashboard.

7.

Press the spacebar to play the project to see the Hurricane 4 video image mapped with the Center Square object.

8.

Press Cmd-S to save your progress.
