Adding the Star Wars Theme Music

You certainly can't have a Star Wars opening without the crescendo of the John Williams' theme. On the DVD supplied with this book, we have a .wav file with that famous theme music for you to use with your projects. That said, however, for your movie you can certainly use any heroic (or silly) music at your disposal and it will work just fine.

Add the Music to the Timeline

Click the Get Media from button on the Media panel to access the Get Media from view, if it's not already active.

Select DVD, Digital Camera, Mobile Phone, Hard Drive Camcorder, Card Reader.

When the Media Downloader displays, click the Advanced Dialog button to switch to Advanced mode.

Select the starwarstheme.wav clip.

Click the Get Media button. Premiere Elements copies the starwarstheme.wav clip from the DVD onto your hard drive and adds it to the Available Media list for this project.

Drag the starwarstheme.wav clip from the Available Media view of the Media panel to the Audio 1 track on the Timeline, so that the head (front) of the clip is at the very beginning of the track (as shown in the illustration).
