Adjusting the Starting Point for Superboy's Appearance

We want the clip to open to the sound of music and the sight of the clouds moving through the sky. Then, after a short pause, we want our super hero to appear off in the distance and fly towards us, with the sound of wind accompanying his flight. To achieve this, we simply need to move both the superboy.avi and superwind.wav files a bit later in the Timeline. Later, in Timeline terms, means to the right.

Move Superboy and the Wind Sound to the Right

Click the superboy.avi clip on the Video 2 track.

Holding down the Shift key on your keyboard, click the superwind.wav file on the Audio 1 track.

Now, release the Shift key and with your mouse, drag the two clips to the right until the head (front) of the clips is at the two second mark (00;00;02;00).

Tip

To make it easier to drag the clips to the two second mark, move the CTI there first as a placeholder (as shown in the illustration). Then, move the clips and they will snap into place. (If necessary, activate the Snap function by selecting Snap from the My Project MORE menu.)
