Adding a Music Track

On the DVD that accompanies this book, you'll find a music clip, kickinback.wav. This clip was created based on a SmartSound^® QuickTracks^™ software. SmartSound is a music generator program that will create music that works with your project of just the style and length you need. It comes complete with built-in tracks, and more tracks are available for purchase from the SmartSound Web site. You'll find more information about QuickTracks in Chapter 4, "The Passing of Time Effect."

Adding a Music Track to the Project

Click the Get Media from button on the Media panel to access the Get Media from view, if it's not already active.

Select DVD, Digital Camera, Mobile Phone, Hard Drive Camcorder, Card Reader.

When the Media Downloader displays, click the Advanced Dialog button to switch to Advanced mode.

Select the kickinback.wav clip for this project.

Click the Get Media button. Premiere Elements copies the kickinback.wav clip from the DVD onto your hard drive and adds it to the Available Media list for this project.

From the Media panel, drag the kickinback.wav clip to the Audio 1 track on the Timeline.
