Chapter 8. Dreamweaver Templates
At the most basic level, templates have two states associated with them locked and editable. By default, everything in the document is locked. When you create a template, it's up to you to define which area will be editable. These areas are generally the space in which you want content producers to add content. This will ultimately preserve the integrity of the design. This chapter discusses some of the ways you can create and apply templates. You'll also learn about some of the new features in Dreamweaver MX you can use when creating and working with templates. Templates in Dreamweaver are sometimes referred to as Dream Templates.
