When working with tables, you may want to create a consistent design that presents the information in an easy-to-read manner. Often this requires creating a color scheme for your table to follow. Creating color and organizational schemes can become a time-consuming proposition; however, a Table Format feature inside of Dreamweaver offers a quick solution. Table formats enable you to choose from several presets: Simple, AltRows, and DblRows. The simple format maintains the same background color throughout the entire table, but changes the top row and the left column. The AltRows format alternates the background color of each row in the table. You can choose from eight different color combinations. The last category, DblRows, alternates the background color of every two rows. As you can see in Figure 5.21, the Table Format dialog box offers several choices for each of the formats. You have the freedom to choose row colors, alternate colors, alignment, text style, text color, and much more. Figure 5.21. You can select several options for customizing the appearance of a table through the Format Table command. You can access the Format Table dialog box by choosing Commands, Format Table. |
