Chapter 4. Dreamweaver MX Essentials
Often, designers like to insert images into the background. These images tile, which means they repeat to fill the entire background. If you're clever enough when creating your background image in Fireworks, Photoshop, or any other image editing tool, you can set the dimensions and pattern of the image in a way that it won't appear to the user that it is tiling. You also can avoid tiling when using CSS styles.
To apply a background image, choose Modify, Page Properties. This launches the Page Properties dialog box. In the text field for the background image, click the Browse button and search for a file. After you've chosen one, click OK, and you'll see that graphic tile in the background, as shown in Figure 4.43.
