Chapter 4. Dreamweaver MX Essentials
You can put the time and date on your page to let your viewers know how current the information is that they're looking at. It's quite simple to insert the date. Click the Insert Date button in the Common Objects of the Insert panel, or you choose Insert, Date. This launches the Insert Date dialog box, as shown in Figure 4.29.
In this dialog box, you can choose whether you want the day to appear and how you want it to be formatted, as well as how you want the date to appear. You also have the option of showing the time on your page. A drop-down menu provides you with options on how you want the time to be formatted as well.
An option is also available for updating the time and date automatically when saving the document. This can be convenient if you're interested in letting your viewers know when the last time an update has been made to the page. To activate this option simply place a check in the check box.
