Chapter 28. Working with Dynamic Data
Producing dynamic content has traditionally been the goal of every developer. The ability to produce "placeholders" where text and images just seem to magically appear always seems to outweigh the static notion of typical Web sites. In the past, developers were required to know multiple languages and technologies to accomplish something as simple as a dynamic drop-down list. Dreamweaver MX provides the capability to produce dynamic content while maintaining its WYSIWYG functionality. Gone are the days of developers having to know everything about ASP, ADO, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and so on. Although a bit of knowledge is still advantageous, creating dynamic content within Dreamweaver MX is still just a matter of dragging and dropping.
