Chapter 19. Behaviors
A jump menu offers a compact way to a navigation system to your site. It behaves much like a drop-down menu; however, when an option is selected, it opens a link based on the selection.
Many sites will use these jump menus to save space. If you have several link options available to your viewer, but have no way of including all that link information in the designated area, a jump menu could be a nice alternative. As you can see in Figure 19.14, the jump menu offers several link features. Refer to Chapter 6, "HTML Forms," to see how to set up a jump menu and to learn how to interact with them.
