Q&A

Q1:

How can I place a background on my publication?

A1:

A background image can appear on the back of your publication, acting like a lightly hued watermark image that shows through the other text and pictures. By placing the background on every page in your multipage publication, you can add consistency to your publication's look.

You have to add the graphic image (the image can be any picture or graphic image such as a corporate logo) and then select Format Picture after right-clicking it. Click the Picture tab and under Image Control select Washout from the Color list. Select Recolor, pick a color that you want for the watermark, and then click Apply. You have now turned the image into a lightly hued image. You now must display Publisher's Arrange menu and select Order, Send to Back. This places the watermark behind all other text and images on your page. Where blank spots appear on the page, the background image will lightly show through.
