This hour introduced you to PowerPoint by showing you how to start PowerPoint and how to prepare for your initial slide presentation. PowerPoint prepares all kinds of presentations, all of which have one or more slides (screens). Use PowerPoint to create, edit, and even show your presentations in a slide-projector format.
The AutoContent Wizard is perhaps the best way to start using PowerPoint. Based on your answers to a few simple questions, the AutoContent Wizard creates a presentation with sample text and formatting. To turn the generated presentation into your own, just change the text and, optionally , change the slides' design elements.
The design templates also provide help when you want to add a new slide to a presentation. When you need to create a new slide, select the closest match from the list of design templates. After the design template creates a sample slide, just edit and modify the text.
The next hour shows you how easy it is to turn the AutoContent Wizard or template-designed slides into your own.
