You can customize whether a tabbed window is opened automatically in certain instances by choosing Tools, Options and displaying the Tabbed Browsing pane. For example, you can have Firefox display a page in a new tab if you type its address in the Location bar, or if you initiate a search from the Search bar. If you drop the link on an existing tab, the contents of that tabbed window is replaced by the linked page. | 4. | Close a Tabbed Window To close a tabbed window, click its Close button (the X ), or right-click the tab you want to close and choose Close Tab from the context menu.
