Chapter 37. Dividing Pages into Separate Frames

A few years after the creation of HTML and the World Wide Web, Netscape introduced a new feature for sites called frames . In keeping with their name , frames divide windows into smaller sections. They're used to subdivide the browser's window area into two or more areas, each of which holds its own Web page independently of all other frames. The experience is like having two browsers open at the same time. You can load separate pages into the frames and use them as if they were in separate browsers.
