After you have installed the Movie Maker Creativity Fun Pack, you must import the Movie Maker Creativity Fun Pack contents into your Movie Maker collection before you can use the Movie Maker Creativity Fun Pack content in your movies.

The Movie Maker Creativity Fun Pack sound effects provide several music effects that you can place in your movie. You will place these on the timeline's Audio/Music track so that the sound effect occurs at the appropriate location in your movie. The Movie Maker Creativity Fun Pack includes sound effects from the following categories:

• Animal sound effects

• Fun random sounds

• Graduation sound effects

• Party sound effects

• Sports

TIP

Review all the sound effects ”you might be surprised at the range of effects you find. For example, people clapping and cheering at a sporting event might come in handy as low background noise for a Little League game.

1. Select File, Import into Collections
   
   You must import the Movie Maker Creativity Fun Pack sound effects into Movie Maker before you can use the sound effects. Select Import into Collections from the File menu.
   
   

   TIP

   

   If you have already imported the Movie Maker Creativity Fun Pack content into Movie Maker, you can skip to step 8 to preview the sound effects that you can place in your movies.

2. Select My Documents
   
   Select the My Documents folder to begin browsing to the Movie Maker Creativity Fun Pack content.
   
   
3. Select My Videos
   
   Select to open the My Videos folder.
   
   
4. Select Creativity Fun Packs
   
   Select to open the Creativity Fun Packs folder.
   
   

   NOTE

   

   After you import the sound effects into your collection, you can drag any of them to the timeline's Audio/Music track at the location in your movie where you want the sound effect to start ( see 55 Add Sound Effects to Your Movie ).

5. Select Sound Effects and then a Sub-Folder
   
   Select to open the folder named Sound Effects, then open a folder within Sound Effects such as Fun random sounds . The individual sound effects in that folder will appear.
   
   
6. Press Ctrl+A
   
   Press Ctrl+A to select all the sound effects in the Fun random sounds folder.
   
   

   NOTE

   

   You can repeat steps 1 through 8 to import the sound effects in the other folders within the Sound Effects folder.

7. Click to Import
   
   Click the Import button to import the music tracks and music transitions into Movie Maker. You might have to wait a few seconds for the sound effects to load.
   
   
8. Click to Select
   
   

   NOTE

   

   You might have to scroll your collection down to see the Sports Car Drive Away sound effect.

   Click to select the sound effect named Sports Car Drive Away . After you select the sound effect, you can click the Play button on the Monitor pane to review the effect.
