All our efforts up to now have focused on planning, creating, and refining our content. However, this content cannot exist in a vacuum (well, I suppose it could, but then it would get all dusty). Regardless of the hours spent creating your masterpiece, if you cannot share it easily and efficiently with other people, preferably the right people, then all that work was for nothing.
The chapters in this unit will help you gain a grasp of distributing your work. There is no single correct way of doing this. So much depends on your content and on your audience that I cannot give you a simple, unified blueprint for getting your videos into the right hands, much as I’d like to. Fortunately, Camtasia Studio arms you with an array of flexible distribution options. So, no matter what the confines of your own professional environment, you’re sure to have at least one effective way of sharing your work, and probably several.
The four chapters of this unit are as follows:
Chapter 12: The Production Process. This is where you’ll learn how to take your video project and produce it in a format that others can view.
Chapter 13: CD-based Videos with Camtasia MenuMaker. If your goal is to create a CD- or DVD-ROM of your videos, know that Camtasia MenuMaker can help you create an attractive, functional front-end menu, and in this chapter, I’ll show you how.
Chapter 14: Web-based Videos with Camtasia Theater. If the preference is for web distribution, but you still want to have the fancy menu navigation of a CD, then Camtasia Theater is the tool for you.
Chapter 15: Other Output Options. In this chapter, I’ll show you some supplementary tools for helping you share your work: Batch Production, Pack and Show, and the Camtasia Player.
