In this unit, we’ll discuss how to best design your video content before ever even opening Camtasia Studio. I’ll provide a brief introduction to curriculum design for each of the three major goals of Camtasia Studio video content: training, marketing, and demonstration. Then we’ll work on scripting and storyboarding your creation. Feel free to skip this unit if you want to get right to the nitty-gritty of using Camtasia Studio, but I encourage you to come back to it at some point. These two chapters are useful, easy to read, and comparatively short. They contain a number of easy-to-implement yet powerful tips for refining your content and streamlining your work process.
In this unit, we discuss:
Chapter 3: Quick and Dirty Curriculum Design. This chapter will help you focus your goals and select your audience, and will give all sorts of handy tips based on the kind of video you’re creating.
Chapter 4: Scripting and Storyboarding. Before diving in with your first recording, it helps (particularly for larger projects) to have some idea of where you’re going. A script and storyboard can make the process flow a lot more smoothly.
