For those looking to string multiple SWF files into a cohesive presentation, complete with table of contents, Camtasia Theater is a viable solution. While the application is in need of an update to make it fully compatible with all SWF and FLV content, Theater can still make use of SWF files produced with the Legacy template.
To create a full web menu using Camtasia Theater, dothe following:
Produce all needed SWF files using the Legacy template.
Use the Add SWF movie command to add your SWF files to the Menu List. Reorder as needed.
Give your menu a title, and choose formatting options such as font, font size, alignment, and colors. Choose whether you want the videos to automatically play in sequence.
If desired, add an About box, format your Duration/Elapsed Time Properties, and select a Preload Movie to display while the main videos are loading.
Choose Export Flash Menu to build your menu for upload to your web site.
If you want to change anything after export, you may be able to do so by altering a few values in your project’s configuration XML file.
In the next chapter, we’ll be wrapping up the remainder of our sharing options with tools such as Batch Processing, Pack and Show, and the Camtasia Player.
