Interface Workflow

  • Images are read in from various folders.

  • These images, as represented by thumbnails, are arranged in a process tree with color correctors, layering commands, keying, and other nodes connected to them to achieve the desired effect.

  • The parameters of the nodes are tuned with interactive feedback in the Viewer.

  • Once finished, a FileOut node is attached to the bottom of the process tree to tell Shake where to write the output image.

You can use as many FileOuts as you want, placed anywhere along the tree. In the full version of Shake, you can render from the interface by selecting the FileOut node and then choosing Render FileOut Nodes from the Render menu. In the trial version of Shake, you can render only by right-clicking a FileOut node and choosing one of the render options.

  • Or you can save the tree as a text file called a Shake script.

  • From the Terminal window or your own batch-rendering system, the effect is then rendered, and the output image is written to disk.
