The process of separating scenes into multiple layers, allowing flexibility in the manipulation and adjustment of the various layers.
MultiPlane compositing
The process of compositing 2D layers in a 3D space. A virtual camera, similar to those found in 3D animation packages, controls the view of the output image. This camera can be animated by keyframing parameters or by importing 3D camera and tracking data from third-party programs.
