Re-creating a Library Item

If a library item is accidentally deleted from the Library category of the Assets panel and you still have a page showing the library item, you can re-create it.

1.

Open the sidebar.html document and select the navigational library item at the bottom of the page by clicking it once.

This is a library item that is not available in your Library folder. It is a simple table with three rows of navigation links for the frame-based Community pages. When you clicked the table, the entire library item became selected and grayed-out to show that it can't be edited within the document. You can also tell that it is a library item by looking at the tag selector, which displays <mm:libitem>. Although this element was marked as a library item in the Document window, it does not appear in the Library category of the Assets panel because the original item is not contained in your site.

2.

Click Recreate on the Property inspector.

The library item file is re-created with the item name used on this page; it now shows up titled as CommunitySubNav in the Library category of the Assets panel.

Tip

You can also right-click (Macintosh and Windows) or Control-click (Macintosh single button mice) to open a context menu that contains the Recreate option and other choices related to the selected library item.

3.

Close the sidebar.html document.
