The video editor serves two primary functions in the creation of watchable video. First, it provides an accessible workspace for cutting up your raw footage into the most watchable segments and then piecing them together into a compelling movie. As you'll see in Chapter 7, Studio excels in this regard. Second, the video editor provides a multitude of elements for introducing change into your videos to satisfy the MTV-nurtured attention spans of viewers. Studio excels here, too. For example, Studio's between-scenes transitions are the best in the industry, as are its background-music features, and its titling tool makes creating attractive, professional-looking titles easy. You can also animate still images using pan and zoom effects (see "Inserting Pan and Zoom Effects" in Chapter 5), or let Studio automatically create a music video for you (see "Creating Music Videos Automatically" in Chapter 9). |
