premiere elements tour

This is the Timeline window, where you'll build your production. A timeline is a longitudinal view with separate tracks for the various video and audio elements you'll add to your movie.

Specifically, you'll add visual content (video, still images, and titles) to video tracks, and audio content (audio captured when you shot your video, background music, and narration) to audio tracks. Not that you'll ever need anywhere near this many, but Premiere Elements can support up to 99 audio and video tracks.

As mentioned previously, Premiere Elements customizes its interface for each Taskbar activity, revealing the relevent controls and aligning the windows into the optimal position. This is called a workspace. Click on a button in the Taskbar, and Premiere Elements automatically opens the designated workspace.

Premiere Elements lets you customize each workspace as desired, so you can resize and move the various windows around to your liking.

If the interface gets too cluttered, however, you can also revert to the factory installed configuration by choosing Restore Workspace and the desired workspace.
