Chapter Ten. Sharing, Rendering, and Encoding Your Projects

As much as we love editing our projects, there comes a time when we must share them with others, and this and the next two chapters detail how. Sometimes it's helpful to unveil your project before it's completely finished. You may want to solicit feedback from your client or other stakeholders. This chapter starts by describing how to use Premiere Pro's Clip Notes to do just that.

The balance of this chapter discusses how to render your projects into digital video files, first in Premiere Pro, and lastly from After Effects. Whether you're rendering a section of your project or the entire thing, this is the output step that moves your project from editing to delivery. Along the way, you'll learn how to use Adobe's encoding tool, the Adobe Media Encoder, and how to produce Flash Video files from both Premiere Pro and After Effects.

Chapter 11 details how to produce DVDs from within Adobe Premiere Pro, a feature Adobe greatly expanded in the latest version of Production Studio, while Chapter 12 describes the finer points of Adobe Encore.
