To perform music on your handheld, check the Internet for freeware and shareware programs that turn your handheld into an instrument, such as PocketSynth.
Listen to audio books
Both Windows and Mac users can listen to audio books, using Audible Player software. Windows users can install the Audible book player from the installation CD. Mac users need to go to Audible.com to download a player that works with iTunes and iSync. Once you join Audible.com, you'll be able to carry four or five complete books on a 128 MB expansion card.
Trouble transferring songs?
Having trouble getting MP3s to sync to your handheld? Make sure you dragged your MP3s to Quick Install or the Send To Handheld droplet, and that you're synchronizing to a handheld with an expansion card in the slot.
Having trouble synchronizing music from your PC's RealOne Player to your handheld? Answer these questions: Have you inserted an expansion card in your handheld? Is the card unlocked? Is RealOne Player open on both your PC and your handheld? Do you have songs queued up for transfer in the Palm Handheld window of RealOne Player? Is the green "Connected" light on in the lower-left corner?
Songs that skip
If a song skips during playback, the file is probably corrupted. Delete the song, sync with your computer, and try again.
More than music
You can transfer more than music to your handheld including periodicals, speeches, training classes, and more. Just make sure they're all in MP3 format.
