  • Instantly schedule a year's worth of weekly meetings

  • Mask secret events from prying eyes

Calendar keeps you one step ahead of yourself. Use it to plan your day, remember appointments, and prevent overscheduling. View your schedule by day, week, or month, or as an agenda that combines your tasks with your appointments. Attach notes to Calendar events and set alarms so you're reminded when they're about to happen.

Calendar tips

Enter simple events fast

Unless your days are always packed, you probably won't want to enter an end time and other details for events like a conference call or a TV show. Tap the line next to the start time in Day View, enter the name of the event, and you're done.

Events don't need times

Some events, such as the beginning and end of a fiscal quarter, don't have a start or end time.To schedule them, go to the day of the event and write a short description of the event. Calendar creates a new entry at the top of Day View. You can fill in the details later.

Create your own categories

Color-coded categories let you see at a glance how much time you're spending on work, play, and everything else. Calendar has four default categories: All, Business, Personal, and Unfiled. To color-code them as you like, see page 63.
