Oracle Tag Libraries

Oracle provides many tag libraries for use in JSPs. The following tag libraries are available to developers:

• Oracle Business Components for Java Tag Library

• Oracle JDeveloper 10 g User Interface Extension (UIX) Tag Library

• Oracle JDeveloper 10 g BC4J UIX JSP Tag Library

• Oracle Reports Tag Library

• Oracle Application Server Wireless Location Tag Library

• Oracle Application Server MapViewer Tag Library

• Oracle Ultra Search Tag Library

• Oracle Application Server Portal Tag Library

• Oracle Business Intelligence Beans Tag Library

• Oracle Application Server Multimedia Tag Library

• Oracle JESI Tag Library

These tags make developing JSPs much easier because they make use of the ADF. The ADF provides a large productivity advantage by using proven solutions to recurring problems. Problems such as, How do I access persistent data? are answered by the ADF, and in more than one way. All applications are written according to their own requirements and these requirements vary greatly. Many applications start out to solve a simple problem and do not require many advanced features to solve it. All applications will, however, benefit in the area of extensibility and maintainability if they make use of the features and services available in the ADF toolkit.
