Application Deployment

Deploying an application in Oracle Application Server 10 g is a fairly simple process, thanks to the Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM). By default, the OEM application is located on port 1810 but can be located on other ports. To deploy an application to Oracle Application Server 10 g , you must first build a Web Archive (WAR) or Enterprise Application Archive (EAR) file. These files are specified by the J2EE specification and are of a standard format. The process of deploying applications to Oracle Application Server 10 g is detailed in Chapter 15.
