If you want to set up a home office, there's one key element you need before you get rolling ”a home! Whether it's an apartment, cottage, condominium , cabin in the woods, mansion, ranch house, or Cape Cod charmer, if you work from home, you will need to create a space from which to work inside that home.

This may sound simple enough, but in fact, creating a professional space that can co-exist with your nonprofessional life, as well as, often, gremlins (a.k.a. those cute kids you have), can require careful planning and thought.
