In this chapter you will learn to:
Make a presentation look consistent.
View and change a presentation s masters.
Format text and bullets throughout a presentation.
Save a presentation as a design template.
Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 comes with a wide variety of professionally designed templates ” sets of colors, text formats, and graphics that can help you achieve the look that you want for your presentations. You can use one of these predefined templates to create a new presentation, or you can apply a template to an existing presentation.
When you apply a template to a presentation, the slides take on the characteristics of the template so that a uniform design is maintained throughout the presentation. PowerPoint templates use masters ” design patterns for slides, handouts, and speaker notes. When you create a slide, for example, it assumes the design of its corresponding master. You can then customize the slide s text, graphics, and other elements.
In this chapter, you will apply a PowerPoint template to a presentation, view various masters, change the display of the master objects, modify and format the master text, and save a presentation as a template.
