To enter text in a slide

  • In the Slides pane, click the text placeholder and begin typing.

To create a new slide

  • On the Formatting toolbar, click the New Slide button.

To insert a bulleted list in a slide

  1. On the Outline tab of the Outline/Slides pane, point to the right of the line after which the list should appear.

  2. Press [Enter], and then press [TAB].

To apply a new format to a slide

  1. Select the slide you want to reformat .

  2. In the Slide Layout task pane, scroll down until you see the layout you want to apply, and then click it.

To reapply a slide s original formatting

  1. Select the slide you want to format.

  2. On the Format menu, click Slide Layout .

  3. Click the down arrow to the right of the selected slide layout.

  4. On the menu, click Reapply Layout .

To insert a slide from another presentation

  1. In the open presentation, click where you want to insert the slide.

  2. On the Insert menu, click Slides from Files .

  3. Click the Find Presentation tab, if necessary, and then click Browse .

  4. Navigate to the location of the file to insert, select it, and then click Open .

  5. Click the slides that you want to insert.

  6. Click Insert .

To rearrange slides in a presentation

  1. Click the Slide Sorter View button.

  2. Drag the slide you want to move to a different location.

To insert speaker notes in the Notes pane

  • Click the text placeholder Click to add notes in the Notes pane and type your notes.

To switch to Notes Page view

  • On the View menu, click Notes Page .

To move from page to page in Notes Page view

  1. On the View menu, click Notes Page .

  2. Click the Next Slide button.
