Overview

As you know, Publisher provides a wide variety of designs, in the form of templates, on which you can base a new publication. However, you aren t limited to these templates. You can create your own, either by modifying an existing template or by designing a new one from scratch. You might think now that you will never need or want to create your own design template. But bear in mind that many organizations use Publisher to create their marketing materials, and there is always the possibility that a competitor will select the same Publisher template and the same color scheme as you! With the skills you learn in this chapter, you will be able to create your own look and avoid potential conflict and embarrassment.
