Editing Tasks

After creating a task, you might sometimes notice a typographical error that needs to be fixed or an item of information, such as a due date, that needs to be changed. As we ll show you in this topic, you can make changes directly in the task list, or if you have several changes to make to the same task, you can reopen its Task window.

Now suppose you re told that, because of database problems, the monthly review can t be completed for another two weeks. However, it is required by USA BEAT before the end of the conference. Let s open the Task window to change the review s due date and priority levels.

  1. Double-click the review task to display its Task window.

  2. Change the Due date setting to the third Friday of the month (or the Friday before the USA BEAT conference), and then reset the Priority to High .

  3. Click the Save and Close button to update the task.

Outlook then creates a new task to reflect the changes you just made, and updates the recurring task to start the following month.
