Overview

Microsoft PowerPoint 2002 is the presentation component of the Microsoft Office system, and it s packed with all sorts of tools to simplify the task of creating presentations. From traditional transparencies to electronic slide shows with flying bullets, sound effects, and even video clips, PowerPoint does it all.

In this chapter, we cover the basic steps for developing a simple PowerPoint presentation. First we introduce you to the AutoContent Wizard, which helps you decide on the text of a presentation. Then we show you how to get the look you want by creating a presentation based on one of PowerPoint s design templates.
